Here are the five finalists of “Pitch your project 2023”
EUSALP competition #PITCHYOURPROJECT has been hosted by Région Grand Est last November 21st.
This event started in 2018 under Tyrol’s EUSALP presidency with the objective to involve youth under the motto “shaping.future.together”! The European Union Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) is looking for youth ideas to make the Alpine Region agile to face climate change and thus answer the main challenges the Alps are facing regarding innovation, economy, education and mobility. The public policies implicated into EUSALP privileged a bottom-up approach inviting young people to share their hopes and needs to drive modernity and development of services adapted to Alpine populations.
This edition invited young people to innovate towards four main themes: climate change and water management; mobility and energy; circular economy and Alpine crafts; social innovations and intergenerational synergies.
Among the seventy participants, Marie-Guite DUFAY (President of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region), Herbert DORFAMNN (Member of the European Parliament and Friends of EUSALP facilitator), Christophe GRUDLER (also Member of the European Parliament) opened the ceremony in presence of Manon DELIOT (Vice-President of the Department for Sport and Youth at the Grand-Est Region) and Guillaume LIBSIG (executive assistant to the Strasbourg City Hall).
Two round tables targeting the themes of the #European #YearofSkills and #youth #participation have been organized.
After a time dedicated to networking and information around the #Erasmus+ program, the participants attended the final of the competition with the presentation of the 5 finalist projects, aged between 16 and 25 years old !!!!!
