AG 5: CONNECTIVITY AND ACCESSIBILITY

The Digital Alps Conference (DAC), organised by Action Group 5 of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, stands as a cornerstone event for digital innovation in the Alps. This year’s edition will take place on 29th and 30th April 2025 in Lienz, under the official framework of the EUSALP Austria and Liechtenstein Co-Presidency, and in cooperation with the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Municipality of Lienz.

DAC 2025 will spotlight the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Dataspaces, and future challenges, allowing participants to explore opportunities for digital transformation, strategies for building future-proof digital infrastructures, and the role of EUSALP Open Platforms in regional development. In this context, the fifth edition aims to:
🔹  Place digitalization at the core of different fields, including policymaking, Macro-regional Strategies, and the development of future-proof infrastructures;
🔹  Strengthen urban-rural cooperation through digital solutions;
🔹  Align efforts on Artificial Intelligence, Dataspaces, and Smart communities;
🔹  Foster collaboration among key regional stakeholders;
🔹  Highlight the ongoing work and initiatives of EUSALP.

Participants can look forward to a rich and engaging programme, beginning with inspiring keynotes on digital transformation of mountain territories and AI perspectives for mountain and rural areas with experts in digital transformation. A series of interactive workshops will provide in-depth discussions, whereas networking moments will offer valuable opportunities to connect and exchange ideas.
The Conference will conclude with a plenary session to reflect on key insights and outline the next steps for the region’s digital future. Additionally, a dedicated side visit on the following day will showcase best practices in digital sustainability from across the Alpine area.

Join us in shaping a smart, resilient, and connected Alpine future!
