The EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) aims to actively involve young people when it is about to make the Alpine Region fit for the future.
Pitch Your Project is a competition for young people and young adults between 18 and 29 years. As experts of our living space, the Alpine Region, the young people were invited to submit their project ideas for a sustainable development of the Alpine Region individually or as a group.
Under the slogan “Your Alps! Your Future! Your Idea!” this is a call to submit project ideas for an attractive, modern and sustainable development of the Alpine region until August 8th, 2026.
Taking part is worthwhile: The representatives of the 5 best project ideas are invited to the final event of the competition. At the finale, the candidates present their projects in a pitching session to an audience of international experts. The audience then directly vote on which three projects receive the prize money of 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000 euros respectively for their implementation.

This year, the four topics proposed to the applicants are:
- Sustainable tourism: Innovations that promote tourism to lesser-known sites, helping to balance visitor flows and reduce environmental impacts while supporting the local economy.
- Digitalisation: New ways of using digital tools or systems to improve quality of life (public services) and to attract or maintain economic activities (services for businesses).
- Preservation of natural sites: Actions aimed at raising awareness on the importance of natural areas for species preservation, as well as concrete initiatives dedicated to protecting natural resources such as water, soil, forests, etc.
- Youth involvement: Approaches to mobilising young people to enhance their participation in public life at different levels and in diverse decision-making processes. How can they contribute more to local democracy and support local projects?
