AG3 Work Plan 2026-2028

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Action Group 3 (AG 3) focuses on labour market, education, and training within the Alpine Region. Building on the achievements of the 2023-2025 period — most notably the development of a soft skills toolset and the "Discover Mountain Jobs" (DMJ) initiative — the new Work Plan aims to foster a competitive, resilient Alpine education and labour space by prioritizing four strategic areas of intervention:

  • Skills Development: Wide diffusion will be given to the soft skills toolset and digital training modules developed for tutors and recruiters. The Group aims to expand this framework to include AI collaboration rubrics and hybrid skillsets that bridge human communication with technological oversight.
  • Youth Mobility and Education: AG 3 will work to create a unified educational space by developing Alpine info session modules for mobility agencies and organising study visits to promote exchanges for Vocational Education and Training (VET) students.
  • Professional Opportunities: New DMJ editions will be organised to raise awareness of Alpine professions and counteract depopulation. A DMJ dedicated labelling system for good practices will be launched and a new "Alpine jobs" communication tool created.
  • Remote Working and Learning: In collaboration with the Youth Council, AG 3 will co-organize the "Stay Local, Learn Global" event to promote remote higher education and innovation hubs in peripheral areas.

To ensure effective implementation, the Group will hold yearly AG 3 LABs with professional facilitation
and work closely with other Macro-regional Strategies to embed social priorities into EU programs.
