AG2 Policy Recommendations: Data Spaces for a Resilient and Competitive Alpine Region
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Policy Recommendations aim to accelerate digital transformation in the Alpine Region by enabling SMEs and small public authorities to participate in cross-border data spaces.
They focus on boosting digital skills, harmonizing practices with EU standards, and providing practical support to overcome technical, legal, and operational barriers.
Targeted investments in infrastructure and pilot projects – particularly in manufacturing and water management – will foster secure, interoperable, and scalable data ecosystems. Coordinated action across regional, national, and EU levels will maximize impact, enhance innovation, and strengthen economic competitiveness across the alpine macro-region.
The following Policy Recommendations have been elaborated by the members of the Actions Groups of EUSALP, reflect the expertise of the AGs members and are meant for voluntary implementation by the decision makers when it comes to the Alpine Region.
