LiveAlpsProject
LiveAlpsNature is among the projects that the Alpine Space Programme Committee selected for the second call for classic projects in the period 2021-2027!
The project promotes biodiversity protection through innovative and health orientated nature-based activities in Alpine protected Areas.
It addresses the challenge of over tourism in alpine areas and envisages to better manage visitors flows by adapting biodiversity-friendly management models and integrating the One Health Approach. Moreover, it aims to provide open-source GIS data and digital platform to ensure wide dissemination and uptake of biodiversity-friendly practices.
The target groups and the beneficiaries are, among the others, environmental ministries, Alpine convention and alpine protected areas managers, tourism development agencies, SMEs, Alpine clubs and sport federations.
