20th Action Group 4 Meeting
Meeting topic:
The 20th Action Group 4 Meeting was held on May 12th 2022 in Innsbruck/online in the frame of the Tyrolean Mobility Days 2022. In this context, the Deputy Governor of the Country of Tyrol Ingrid Felipe took the opportunity to welcome the participants.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the policy brief with policy recommendations that was being finalised as a key output for the closing of AlpGov II.
Moreover, the AG4 Lead presented the final Declaration on Rail Transport in the Alpine Region. A contribution by EUSALP to join forces for a sustainable transport and mobility system, building on the European Year of Rail 2021. 15 Alpine regions officially endorsed the declaration by means of a Letter of Support.
Furthermore, the AG4 discussed the revision of the methodology for the EUSALP project assessment. The AG4 Project Assessment aims to identify projects with a macro-regional added value for the fostering of sustainable mobility solutions in the Alpine Region. The projects that fulfil the criteria are awarded with letters of recommendation and are promoted in follow-up activities of AG4 (PoK for Mobility and Transport). Additionally, AG4 prepared a poster exhibition showing the 20 projects that have been labelled to date. The 5th EUSALP Mobility Conference on May 13th 2022 provided the opportunity for participants to see for the first time the poster exhibition.
Finally, the AG4 members brainstormed on future activities. A main proposition was to enhance synergies with other Action Groups. Therefore, AG4 members agreed on future activities with AG9 Energy.
