In the framework of the Council of Europe-European Union Joint Programme “Routes4U - Fostering regional development through transnational Cultural Routes, heritage policies and practices”, 7 Calls for proposals have been launched. Project proposals shall aim to produce an added value to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme and to the macro-regional strategies.
Alpine region macro regional strategy is directly involved in 2 calls “Routes4U grants for tourism products and services” and “Routes4U grants for Cultural Routes cards”.
The first call has the objective to co-fund projects that aimed at creating tourism products and services. These products and services should display the heritage along the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe/priority cultural routes projects and promote the macro-regional identity. The second one aimed at co-funding the creation of a Cultural Route card in the macro-region. This card should provide discounts and advantages to the card-holder and it should be an incentive to travel along the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
