On 13 February 2017, the General Assembly of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region met in Rottach-Egern.
After a retrospective on the Slovenian Presidency 2016, the chair over the implementation of the EUSALP was formally handed over to the Free State of Bavaria. Also, a Joint Work Programme was adopted, together with a Joint Declaration in which Members of the General Assembly laid down their visions and goals for the EU Alpine Strategy.
