The first meeting of the 1st Thematic Policy Area after the Alpine Strategy had been launched in Brdo. AG1, AG2 and AG3 will join it together.
The Launch Conference of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) marks the move to the timely implementation phase of the Strategy, following its endorsement by EU leaders at the EU Council.
Building on the experience gained in the macro-regional strategies for the Baltic Sea Region, the Danube Region and the Adriatic and Ionian Region, and following a request from the European Council, the European Commission and the participating countries and regions are now proceeding to draw up an EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP). A very decisive moment in this process is the Stakeholder Conference of the EUSALP that will take place in Milan, Italy on 1-2 of December 2014.
